Uniform for all CFA Volunteers

VFBV and the two Associations have been working with the CFA to develop a CFA uniform for all CFA volunteers. A small Working Party had been engaged on this task.

The following principles have been agreed upon:

• Acceptance of, or the wearing of, the uniform is optional.
• A qualifying period (term not yet decided) before a uniform would be provided.
• Basic uniform of jumper, shirt, tie, trousers, belt and broad brimmed hat.
• Entitlement to a jacket/tunic after further qualifying period (term not yet decided) – this is also optional.
• Brigade officers and volunteers with high public exposure entitled to jacket/tunic as required and not subject to the qualifying period.

The Working Party is meeting regularly to continue to develop the proposals for the uniform.
